  • WELCOME!

Hi! I'm Jenny. Half of a fantastic team {if you're lucky enough to meet Clint, my adorable hubby}. I've been shooting for over 10 years and have been shooting weddings for over a year. Capturing emotions, moments, and love are just some of my absolute favorites.

Please, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Meet My {Better} Other Half

Not only is it Super Tuesday (I mentioned I was a political geek, right?) it is our 2 year wedding anniversary! It has been one crazy ride, and one I wouldn’t trade for the world.  Clint Spradlin, you are one of the most incredible human beings I’ve ever met and I am still amazed that I get you all to myself for the rest of our lives.  You’re smart, funny, loyal, faithful, strong, caring, talented, and I could get lost in your eyes or your smile.  You make me a better person- even if I try my darndest not to change. I mean, why would I really want to change… I squish my toothpaste the right way, hang my clothes the right side, load the dishwasher the right way, and wipe the glass shower down.  Seriously, OCD to the max and you put up with everything because you know it makes me happy.  You always think about me and I just know that one day you’re going to be a wonderful father, like you’re a wonderful husband. Thanks for showing me (or at least trying) how to relax.

Anyway, it also comes as no surprise that you were honored at your job recently.  You are hard-working and outgoing.  I’m so proud that you won the prestigious President’s Circle, as a top employee for Fidelity Investments. It’s kind of a great moment to reflect on what He’s given us and to give thanks for all of these opportunities.

Remember where it started? From here, just a little house off of Pennsylvania Ave…

You stole my heart from the moment we met.   It didn’t hurt that our second date was a pretty neat picnic.

(Pls excuse my horrendous look.  It was 120 degrees and muggier than all get out- typical DC summer)

But also remember when we gave all of this up… ? There were some exciting times.

We took a risk and made the move to Texas. We were tested.  Starting in a new place, looking for jobs, friends, planning a wedding, starting school… it wasn’t easy.  I know working 2 retail jobs was not exactly fun for you… but you not once gave up nor did you let it get to your spirit.  I am so thankful that we tried to put God first in our marriage by taking ‘engaged encounters.’  I’m glad your roommate during that class just so happened to be an employee of Fidelity and encouraged you to apply.  His plan is so much greater than ours.

So, I’m really excited for you (and selfishly excited to be a part of this- p.s. I’m getting that bathing suit I told you about. Thanks honey!).  You truly earned every piece of recognition, and I know that all of it couldn’t be possible without Him.  I am so grateful.   Now it’s on to enjoying the next years of our lives, seeing what He might have in store for us.

Maybe one of these?!

Okay, not any time soon… but I just HAD to throw that in.  You’re the CUTEST baby EVER.:) I love you.  Congratulations!

Katie - So sweet! Happy anniversary you two :) Many more adventures ahead!

P.S. Rob & I have ‘discussed’ a time or two the proper way to load a dishwasher and the need to wipe down the shower after each use. HA! Glad I’m not alone in my OCD-ness.

Roxanne Spradlin - JENNY! I just now read this precious anniversary post. What a lovely way to recap your story and celebrate you second anniversay. I loved it! You and Clint, make a great team. You fill each others gaps!:) I’m smiling and look forward to watching you two grow. I love you so much, Jenny. You make me so happy.

Light of the World

I’ve been at a crossroads lately about my blogging and about my business.  Bloggers/Artists, have you ever thought something similar: am I doing what I was called to do?  Am I sharing too much?  What is too much? What is the direction I want to take my business?  I’ve tried to keep my personal life and my business very separate.  Well, something happened today and God has been whispering great things to me (and perhaps some that I may be nervous about).

Today at church (mainly our Sunday class) we discussed Matthew Chapter 5 and how God tells us that we are the salt and the light of the earth. Most believers have heard/read this before, but have we ever really thought about its application? I didn’t.  What exactly am I doing to be the light of the world?  Also today, there was an art exhibit from members of the congregation and the talent was just breath-taking.  ’What would the world be like without Christian artists?’- Ted Kitchens.  I never thought about that, do I even consider myself to be a Christian artist?

To keep my epiphany brief, I have this tremendous opportunity.  It is only through God that I am able to capture some phenomenal life moments for some spectacular people.  I have been to many very intimate, life changing moments: births, marriages, celebrations and the like.  And each and every time I’m behind that lens I just feel blessed.  I’m definitely no where near any top photographer, but I want to capture what is felt.  Not just the scene or pretty little things.  I want you to feel and to know that God exists and that He is love.  Some people may be put off by this, but I’m okay with that. This is me.  You absolutely don’t have to hire me or to read my blog.  Although, I do like to consider myself a really good friend if you need one.;)

So, I’ll be sharing more about me and my little world.  Sharing more of what God has helped me to capture.  I hope you’ll stay with me on this journey, and I would love for you to share yours as well.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Annette Lee - I think it is great that you can share your faith, even if it is associated with your business.

Clint - I love you for so many reason but most of all I love you for your faith in God our Heavenly father.

Lynnette - Perfect! It is amazing what we can walk away with from spending time with the Lord. I’m so glad he put this on your heart and that you listened to him. He is going to lead you to do many great things in life. Enjoy your ride! Love :)

Roxanne Spradlin - I so appreciate your sharing your heart and thoughts. I understand exactly where your coming from and hope that God blessed you for honoring Him in this way.

Concerning light, I think that once we give our lives to Christ, He illuminates our entire being (personal and business) with the light of His love and truth. Christ like electicity in a house, He wants to bring His light to every room.

You are most definitely an Christian artist. The creator of all things has made us in His image so He has placed in each of us the desire to create. Women love to create beautiful things and as you already know it is a driving force in many of us.

I applaud your photography Jenny. Your ability to manipulate your equipment, beautifully edit and set your clients at ease are only in part the gift youve been given. Your photos are a blessing!

Im so grateful for you Jenny. You are precious! I love you.

Little Strong :: Baby News!

Something incredible happened this week!! Our dear friends in DC delivered beautiful Susan Elizabeth, nothing short of amazing.  I know this is going to sound weird, but I can tear up just thinking about them and what wonderful parents they are and will be.

Last month I had the pleasure of attending Mrs. AB’s shower.  The baby bump suited her well and she glowed!

The decorations were as adorable as she is…

She’s going to be so stylish… and most definitely LOVED.

What a blessing it is to have such friends, and to be a part of this occasion.

DC and all that’s in it… still warms my heart.

CONGRATULATIONS AB & J.  We can’t wait to meet the little one in person.  We love you.

Revell Wedding

Mr. & Mrs. Revell had one of the most adorable weddings ever in Abilene, Texas.  Seriously, there was not one little detail this crafty bride missed.  The wedding was filled with love, of course, and of many hand-made pieces.  I was in awe, the couple’s personality really stood out and just warmed your heart from the moment you entered.

They fell in love playing scrabble.  They love pandas. She’s Scottish.  He’s of Korean descent (and an adopted cowboy).:)

Guests arrived to share in this moment, and the event started with signing a hand-made quilt of their precious moments (what a cool keepsake)!

The guests then took their seats

And waited to see the bride and groom.

With their personal touches.

But first, it was their moment…

And then it was time.

And before you know it, they became one!

The party then took off and the couple even made their own dance!

Lots of fun to be had. A celebration indeed.

Well hello incredible panda cake!

It was beautiful in every way.  I hope you remember these moments, always.  May your marriage continue to be blessed and full of laughter!  Thanks for letting us be a part of your special day.

Engaged :: Scott & Jaci

I’m back!  Sorry I have been a little MIA… I’ve been living the great life, traveling, and meeting great friends!  Lot’s to post… starting with this adorable couple!

Today is Valentine’s Day and what a perfect day to share this Midland, TX engagement of Scott and Jaci.

This couple actually met in high school… but went their separate ways for college. Jaci went to Tech and Scott studied at A&M.  One of the smartest couples I have ever met, and certainly one of the most motivated! I am in awe.  I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up and here they are with some of the most fascinating backgrounds and goals.  I truly appreciate y’all sharing and I’m sure your families are so proud!

Anyway, back to the love story.

Despite this college rivalry, they met up again.

They fell in love.

He swept her off her feet, and she said yes!

How could you not say yes when sweeping-her-off-her-feet also involves a plane?!

Okay, a real one.:)

I had SO much fun going around Midland and getting to know y’all better.  Thank you for being so patient, kind, and open!  I am thrilled for the wedding and just know it’s going to be perfect in every way.  Jaci, the way you light up the room… and Scott, the way you smile and just adore  her- I am so thankful to be a part of this!  You guys warm my heart.  I had a BLAST.

Just don’t let the rivalry get in the way…

Have fun with each other (I know you will).  Love one another…

and remember the original Aggie/Raider couple.

If they can do it, so can you!

Happy Valentines Day! xoxo
