This year I stumbled upon a tweet from @iloveswmag {http://www.swsmag.net/} calling for an ornament swap. Right up my alley, I don’t think I could have responded soon enough with my contact info!
Of course, fast forward a few days and into my finals… and I am (not regretting my excitement) definitely questioning my creative ability. Well, I just so happened to stumble upon empty, glass ornaments in Hobby Lobby- my happiest place on earth. Then I remembered that I’ve always wanted to do something with those birds or butterflies in the little garden section. (yes, I know about certain items and where they’re housed in hobby lobby until they jump into my cart).

Do you like?! So easy to make and I bet they’d be adorable on a present, wrapped in twine.
Here’s what you need to start with:
Moss, butterflies, and large glass ornaments! Voila!
Okay almost instantaneous. Just break apart the moss and stuff into the ornament. A chopstick or pencil comes in handy- be careful with the glass. My man hands did manage to break one.
Then gently fold the butterfly, wing to wing, and cautiously slide it inside on top of the moss.
You can glitter the tops… add ribbon… add different items inside. You’re only limited to your creativity- and I know that’s not quite limited (except when studying for evidence. that might single-handedly kill your soul. just kidding).
But seriously, go nuts!

Merry Craftmas!!!
